This stuff is addicting. It has been years since the internet was so compelling. I remember when I first got online I would start to read my email and get lost surfing the web for several hours, unaware of the time passing. The novelty eventually wore off and real life responsibilities usurped my surfing expeditions. However, since I started doing research on how to build an online business, the same thing happening all over again. I start out reading the text of the first or second program I bought but a link will take me out to a live sight and then I am off, following the trail of other people’s ideas, articles, pages, products. Hours later, glassy eyed and disparate to run to the other room, I pull myself away from the screen and collapse. Still no article published or product linked to my name.

How do I decide where to start? Each program has good suggestions. Some are exorbitantly expensive, others very inexpensive. Some promise big money, others steady income. Where do I go from here?

My initial plan was to pick a reasonable program and follow it through to the end to see what happened. I picked MyOnlineIncomeSystem.com presented by Kimberly Hoffman. It wasn’t the flashiest presentation but seem to cover the basics for getting my feet wet. I resisted the urged to jump in with both feet and instead of signing up at all the recommended sites, I bookmarked them and just kept reading. I didn’t want to make decisions on account ids or page names until I had a better idea exactly what I was going to be promoting.

About the fifth day of research I receive an email from someone recommending Craig Becktra’s Secret Affiliate Code; which was just being launched. The volume of material that was offered and teazer challenge of “solving the code” for a discount hooked me. I bought the package. Where Hoffman had appeared to be just what she claimed, the girl next door a little surprised by her own success, Becktra has a “got it together” presentation that really impressed me. His product includes a 150 page “how-to” manuel, 4 audio interviews with IM legends, and 6 video how-to lessons. I bought in for $67 and was not disappointed in the least. In fact, Craig has continued to send more videos periodically at no additional cost. He has also responded personally to questions I post on the JVNotifyPro site he recommended in his book.
