It has been over six months since I first viewed the videos about Google Wave and over a month since I received my invite to get my own Wave account.  Now I am wondering what was all the hype about?

As far as I can tell, Wave works like predicted and has some incredible features like video conference, live chat/email functionality, historical review of communications and more.

Yet, I don’t see people putting all those features to work.  Everyone I encounter is still using Facebook to chat, Skype to video call or Yahoo Messenger.
